Veganza Animal Hero/Irish American author and activist flies to Dublin from Florida to launch new book at Merrion Square Park event

Dublin-Author Susan Hargreaves is flying in from America to Dublin to launch the third book in her groundbreaking series, “Veganza Animal Heroes” hailed as the world’s first vegan superheroes book series. The 2nd Veganza book was launched, successfully, at the Dublin SPCA summer camp in 2022 debuting on Amazon as number one in the young adult ecology category.

While in Dublin, Susan is available for interviews and vegan cooking demonstrations featuring recipes from her books and to discuss the valid reasons to choose going vegan for the animals and the planet.  She has been vegetarian since 1980 and vegan since 1985. Her new book, Veganza Animal Heroes Guide to Save Animals & the Earth has an added new vegan super hero inspired by Joaquin Phoenix with his enthusiastic agreement, Wilder, the vegan super hero who can travel by tree roots and grow forests with a lift of his arm.

On Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, Susan will join her Irish cousin as a special guest at the National Organic Food Fair in the iconic Merrion Square Park, home to the famous Oscar Wilde statue. Her cousin, Oliver McCabe, is the author of “Kids Kitchen Takeover!” which equips kids with a life skill.

In the kids area at the event, Susan will embody Veganza, with her blue wings and green velvet cape, as she enchants young audiences with thrilling adventures from the “Veganza Animal Heroes” series. The superhero, Veganza, uses her unique powers to freeze scenes of animal cruelty and instill empathy in villains, transforming them into heroes for all species of animals.

“I am honored to be collaborating with Veganza aka Susan Hargreaves at the  National Organic Food Fair in Dublin,” McCabe said. Both authors emphasize the value of plant-based cooking.  “Susan is an inspirational pioneer & advocate of vegan food living, with the wellbeing of animals at the forefront of her global organization Animal Hero Kids.”

Hargreaves‘s strong Irish heritage is deeply influenced by the cherished stories of her grandfather from Ballinasloe, Galway, which have left a lasting impact on her.

“When I was a child my grandfather would recount magical tales of fairies dancing with rabbits on a midsummer’s eve,” Susan said. “I envisioned fairies emerging from their hiding spots to bring tiny chairs my grandfather had made into their tree trunk homes. He also cared for injured and orphaned wildlife. His stories and sense of compassion for all creatures sparked my imagination and fueled my determination.”

The third book in the series, “Veganza Animal Heroes: Guide to Save Animals & the Earth,” is available on Amazon. All profits from the book support the humane education programs Hargreaves offers for free with her non-profit organization Animal Hero Kids. Susan has been a humane educator since 1980.

“Empathy is a human superpower that leads to kindness,” Hargreaves said. “This is the core message of our five-book series, educational programs, and activism—spreading kindness to all animals.”
